DoveRunner Mobile App Security add-on shows who’s behind every session, where they are, whether the connection can be trusted, and enforces policy in real time.
SAN JOSE, CA, UNITED STATES, October 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — DoveRunner, a global mobile application and content security company, today announced Access Signals, a new add-on to its DoveRunner Mobile App Security platform. Access Signals adds identity, location and network intelligence to every protected session, giving app owners in fintech, gaming, streaming, and other regulated industries a real-time way to detect and act on fraud, location spoofing, and prohibited-region access.
Mobile app protection has traditionally focused on hardening the app itself — encrypting code, preventing tampering, and defending against runtime attacks. But a protected app still can’t see the network or identity behind a session: a user spoofing their location to bypass licensing rules, a bot farm signing up through residential proxies, or credential-stuffing traffic arriving from known-malicious infrastructure. Access Signals closes that gap.
Access Signals evaluates each session against six signals organized around three questions:
• Locate — where is the user, really? Country and geolocation detection to enforce licensing, tax, content rights, and sanctions.
• Unmask — are they hiding it? Detection of VPNs, proxies, Tor, and residential-proxy networks.
• Judge — can the connection be trusted? Live malicious-IP reputation intelligence to stop known-bad infrastructure.
For each signal, the customer decides the action — from allowing the session through to blocking it — and configures the policy that fits their business, their licenses, and their regulatory obligations.
“Our customers already trust DoveRunner to protect what’s inside their apps,” said James Ahn, CEO of DoveRunner. “Access Signals extends that protection to the session itself — telling them, in real time, who is really on the other end, and giving them full control over how to respond. It turns a blind spot into a decision.”
Because Access Signals is built into the Mobile App Security platform, customers can turn it on without integrating a new SDK or adding a new vendor, across both Android and iOS. It is also designed to be privacy-conscious: Access Signals evaluates device and network attributes at the device and session level only — it does not receive an end user’s identity or account data, does not link signals to an individual, and does not maintain a persistent identifier for end users. Every verdict flows into the DoveRunner console, where teams can see what is being flagged and blocked across their apps.
Availability and pricing
Access Signals is available now as an optional add-on to DoveRunner Mobile App Security, on Android and via the iOS SDK. Signals can be licensed individually or as a bundle. Organizations can request a demo or a pilot on their own traffic by contacting the DoveRunner sales team.
