LAKE COUNTY COMMUNITY TO RALLY AROUND SURVIVOR HANNAH WRIGHT AND HER 8-YEAR-OLD SON AT AUGUST 16 FUNDRAISER

Northern California victim advocates and community invited to support Hannah Wright and amplify her story at community fundraiser to be held on August 16, 2026

Hannah is one of the strongest, most loving people I know. She survived the unimaginable. Now it’s our turn to stand beside her and her son as they heal, rebuild and find their way forward.”

LAKEPORT, CA, UNITED STATES, August 12, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Friends, neighbors, advocates and members of the Lake County community will come together on Sunday, August 16 at 10:00 a.m. at 1801 N. High Street in Lakeport for a fundraising event supporting Hannah Wright and her 8-year-old son as they begin the difficult process of rebuilding their lives following a devastating act of violence.

Hannah survived.

She is a mother, a longtime member of the Lake County community and a local real estate professional who has worked in the region for more than a decade. Her life and the life of her young son were profoundly changed by a violent incident involving her husband. Now her community is coming together around them.

The August 16 gathering is intended first and foremost to provide Hannah and her son with practical, financial and emotional support during an extraordinarily difficult period. But organizers also hope Hannah’s story can help shine a light on the broader impact of domestic and interpersonal violence and the enormous challenges survivors and their children face after the immediate crisis has passed.

Domestic violence can occur behind closed doors and across every social and economic boundary. Survivors may face not only physical and emotional trauma, but also sudden financial insecurity, housing concerns, disruption to their careers and families, and the daunting task of rebuilding a sense of safety and normalcy for their children. Hannah’s supporters want her to know that she does not have to make that journey alone.

VICTIM-ADVOCACY ORGANIZATIONS INVITED TO STAND WITH HANNAH: Organizers are reaching out to domestic-violence organizations, crime-victim advocates, community organizations, civic leaders and members of the real estate community throughout Northern California and beyond.
Organizations within traveling distance of Lakeport are warmly invited to send a representative to attend Sunday’s gathering and stand in solidarity with Hannah and other survivors of violence. Organizations unable to attend are being asked to share Hannah’s story and information about the August 16 fundraiser through their newsletters, email lists, websites and social-media communities. The goal is not simply to help one family through an extraordinary crisis, but also to demonstrate what is possible when communities and organizations come together around survivors.

MEDIA INVITED TO COVER AUGUST 16 EVENT: Members of the press throughout Northern California are invited to attend Sunday’s gathering, speak with organizers and supporters, and help bring attention both to Hannah’s story and to the larger challenges confronting survivors of domestic violence and violent crime. Editors, reporters, producers and assignment desks interested in covering Hannah’s story may contact media representative Milena Rimassa directly at 310-997-7187 or milena.rimassa@gmail.com.

Photographs are immediately available to credentialed and legitimate news organizations. Upon request, photographs will be provided for use without charge in the context of editorial coverage of Hannah, her story and the August 16 fundraiser.

Additional background information and interview coordination are also available upon request.
